Network for Victim Recovery of DC is pleased to offer trainings, funded by OVSJG, this upcoming March for folx seeking to become qualified sexual assault counselors under the Sexual Assault Victims' Rights Amendment Act of 2019 (SAVRAA).

SAVRAA is a DC law that enhances the District's response to sexual violence in many ways, including expanding the right to an advocate for victims/survivors.

Join us to learn more about innovative ways to provide victim-centered, trauma-informed, culturally responsive crisis counseling and advocacy support to all eligible victims/survivors requesting services in a joint effort to better support our communities. If you or your organization are interested in obtaining the sexual assault advocate training certificate, you must successfully complete the sexual assault counselor training AND work for an organization that is approved to provide services by the SART (Sexual Assault Response Team). 

All training sessions will be virtual from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.
