Webinar on Vicarious Trauma and Burnout When Working with Immigrant Survivors

Please join us on Monday, April 24 at 1 p.m. ET for a webinar on how to manage trauma and burnout impacting immigrant survivor service providers, hosted by the Tahirih Justice Center. The webinar will address the risks of burnout and inevitable exposure to second-hand trauma that lawyers encounter when working with immigrant survivors.

While attempting to prevent second-hand trauma is akin to thinking you can jump into a lake without getting wet, we will discuss various tools and resources to help lawyers and those who advocate for survivors mitigate these harms. Individual participants will gain insights into their own exposure to trauma and be able to complete a self-evaluation on burnout following this webinar.

All participants are also invited to come back together for an “Office Hour” on Friday, April 28 at 12 p.m. ET for a deeper discussion with Tahirih and peers.
